Gill McLaren of Riverford Hampshire speaking from Riverfords regional base at Upper Norton Farm in central Hampshire said: Deliveries were a struggle last week, but our team of nine drivers were magnificent and managed to deliver the goods even along the treacherous minor roads. It was a real test of our service and we are delighted that we were able to make nearly all our deliveries and that customers were so appreciative. Young, old and middle-aged were delighted with Riverfords success: My elderly parents rarely leave their house now and the current weather has made the situation even worse. Yesterday they received their veg box as normal and were extremely pleased. Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your delivery. Didn t think you d make it at all and it s saved me from going out with small children in the car on icy roads! Many many thanks to Kevin for our box. We were very sur- prised that he had delivered it. I checked the top of the path on several occasions -- to our sur- prise it was left for us in the porch! We were able to have fun in the snow rather than a visit to the shops! Anyone can order a Riverford box on a one-off, regular or occa- sional basis. Riverford veg boxes start at 8.95 and there is no charge for delivery. To place an order call 01962 712902 or online at www.riverfordnorton.co.
