The most significant development is that Digital Blue opened a dedicated UK office in May of this year that allows us to give even greater focus to the UK market. We have also appointed dedicated customer service and UK marketing teams to help make our relationships with retailers even stronger. Working with big licenses such as LEGO and Disney must be a challenge. How did those deals come about? Our products offer to bring brands to life in a completely different way and that has definitely applied to Disney and LEGO. We approached Disney four years ago and presented a raft of concepts and ideas that they immediately fell in love with. As our successful relationship with Disney developed, LEGO actually approached us with a view to doing something similar Q A Your LEGO range looks amazing. Did LEGO help with the design of these? It was imperative that we adhered to LEGOs core brand values and came up with products that are a true representation of the brand in terms of feel, appearance and quality. We therefore worked hand- in-hand with LEGO during the product development process and everyone on both sides is really thrilled with the result. You seem to have updated some of your successful products. Is this an ongoing process for Digital Blue? Absolutely. We have to act accordingly to make sure we are always ahead of the game. Technology, the desire to be entertained on multiple platforms, social networking, and the ageing up of consumers continue to have a significant impact on the type of products we develop. As a technology company, we feel we are very good at anticipating market changes, and are comfortable with the need to Q A Q A Youve developed a range of innovative digital cameras, is this in response to customer demand? Yes. Digital cameras are still very attractive to youngsters because they really like the idea of having a product that is similar to mum and dads. However, that presents challenges because it means we need to work hard to mirror the technology that these real electronic items feature. Where next for Digital Blue? Well be working hard to further strengthen our LEGO ranges by unveiling additional products that are sure to be as attractive as the first wave. Were also planning to add to our Disney range by unveiling a raft of products that are branded on the latest Toy Story 3 movie that will be out soon. Away from specific product brands, we are developing a range of European and UK- specific products that will be developed to hit keener price points and ensure greater penetration in these key markets.
